Reorganisation of the Horde: DoHS Returns and Gore Corps Expands

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give you all a heads-up on some exciting times for the Ridleybank Resistance Front.

In an effort to streamline how we run and make things easier and more enjoyable for you, the zambahz on the streets, we’ve reorganised a few things within the horde and, by extension, this forum. Here’s the long and short of it:

1. The Department for Homeland Security is BACK!

For years DoHS was the strong hand gripping Ridleybank for the horde, made up of zombies committed to the defence of our borders. It’s safe to say that even though the name has been mothballed for a long time, committment to that ideal has not wavered. However… It’s a fucking cool name! So, we’re bringing it back and at the heart of the Department are, as always, the Constables. They are the fist of DoHS, reacting to incursions onto our territory, as well as attacking land in the surrounding suburbs,

The methodology of the Department can be summed up thus: AGGRESSIVE DEFENCE

If your sole concern if the absolute domination of the Homeland, this is the wing for you.

There are now three sections under DoHS’s section of the server: Ridleybank, Constables and Strike Reports. Naturally the Constables forum will be where the daily strikes (00:30 GMT, 19:30 EST) will run. The Ridleybank section will be for non-strike DoHS activity and I’ll be asking Funk McBogey, hump and the Constables to post targets and open buildings in there (ideally at least three per day), so the members of DoHS will know where best to attack and where the tastiest brains can be found. Naturally any DoHSer who wants to post open buildings or target options is encouraged to do so. The Strike Reports section is for Hump’s anarchic, bizarre updates on what the Constables are up to.

2. The Gore Corps Has Changed (Kinda)

Since its inception, the Gore Corps has been seen as the death cult wing of the RRF. Well, I hate the term ‘death cult’, because we’re not worshippers of death. We ARE death. So, I refer to us as Necroterrorists. More importantly though, when we returned to action last year, we immediately started to expand our roster, bringing rotters into the fold and doing more zombie work, so as to help out more players and make the Corps and the RRF even more deadly. We intend to expand upon that.

The Gore Corps is now the overal name for the touring wing of the RRF and the methodology can be characterised thus: AGGRESSIVE CONQUEST

While the Corps will always be committed to the defence of the Homeland and will most often be attacking local survivor presences in locations such as Roftwood and Stanbury Village, they will also be the wing of the horde that strikes out at locations across the map, spreading the name, and the terror, of the RRF throughout Malton. Necroterrorism will still be a key element of our strategy, but we will be open and welcoming to all, even if they don’t ever want to fire a gun.

In short, if you want to attack the breathers in the places where they feel safest, this is the wing for you.

In the Gore Corps section of the server, there are once again three sections. However, one is invisible until you are granted access to it, while the other two are public. The private section is where we run our strikes and we can clear you for access once you are confirmed RRF. The Rogues section is for the zambahz who can’t make it to strikes, but also want to be in the touring party. We’ll post daily targets in there for you to attack, directing you to tasty meals and enemy buildings, as well as alerting you to the current attack zone. In Strike Reports I, or one of my assistants, will post info to let you know what the strike wing of the group have been up to.

3. So What Do I Do?

Well, you don’t really need to do anything new. If you’re happy with the part of the horde that you’re in, keep it up. If you want to make a switch, fire away! Both wings of the horde are always available to you and you aren’t locked into any selection. These changes are about making things easier for you in terms of knowing where to attack, which direction to head and what brains to eat. It will also make it easier for new members to hit the ground running. Of late we’ve been so committed to strike teams that we haven’t done enough for the everyday zambah. We’re going to change that and make it easier and, most importantly, more fun for you.

BARHAH!
