A lot of you probably know Grim only as the crazy old curmudgeon who moans about how much more awesome it was back in the day when he was in the horde. However, there’s much more than meets the eye. He was the crazy old curmudgeon that made sure that Petro’s will was done, the original cat-herder of our horde, making sure that when Petro wanted zombies to go somewhere that they eventually wandered over there.
He and Petro actually had a legendary good cop / bad cop routine. Petro was the nice guy that everybody loved and would do anything for him because he was so awesome. Grim was the grouchy guy that you would do anything for to avoid his wrath. In many ways he and Petro were a package deal. Neither one would have been anywhere near as effective without the other. They formed a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
I suppose all this is a way of saying that Grim is one of the very small handful of people who could accurately say that they made this machine. The machine became an insane sentient being and ran away from what he wanted it to be, but all of us owe him. So the next time he starts rambling about how much more awesome the horde was when he was around and how we can’t hold a candle to the Petro-era horde, just take it. You wouldn’t be here without him, the least you can do is take some shit from him.
