Shambles up to the podium
I’m not one for speeches and such but here we go. First off I’d like to thanks Globs for all he’s done for the horde in his many years as a member and especially during his tenure as Papa. He’s been a great leader and a great friend. I’d also like to thank him as well as Johnny Bass, MJS, the WC and you, my fellow Ridleys, for the trust you have placed in me to succeed him as Papa of our Horde.
Barhah Globs!
I am an accidental Papa in just about every way imaginable. Somehow I went from new TA member to Greeter, from Greeter to temp. DoHS leader, from being a temp. to being DoHS Uncle and finally ending up as Papa. I had no ambitions or desire for power, I didn’t even consider my RRFer as my main alt in the beginning. So how did I end up here? I saw things that needed doing and stepped up to do them in an effort to help the Horde I love, just a regular Ridley doing what he could.
So what will the focus of my Papaship be? You, the regular Ridley. My goal is to get everyone involved as much as they can and want to be. This is your horde as much as it is mine, Globs, the War Council’s or anyone elses. As we’ve seen very recently some of our most fun ideas/events are thought of by those outside the WC, regular Ridleys who became an active part of their horde. So I invite you to step up in anyway you can and get more out of your time with our horde/family.
I’d also like to introduce Irishmen as the new Papa Pro Tempore (SiC) of the Ridleybank Resistance Front. He’s been around for a long time and I place immense trust in him. I don’t blame anyone for thinking that leaving Irish and me in charge of the horde was a really dumb move because we both agree!
